If you would like more information about dbCAMS+,
visit their website (www.fcsi.com).

Are you a dbCAMS+ user?
The integration between Quik! and dbCAMS+ is the best
example of how Quik! can use data from a database. The data that can be used
from dbCAMS+ includes:
-
Client Personal Info:
Name, SSN, Date of Birth, Citizenship, Government ID, Fed and State Tax
Brackets
-
Client Contact Info:
Home Address, Phone, Email, Fax
-
Client Employment:
Employer, Title, Address, Phone, Fax, Occupation, Years Employed
-
Client Account Info: Account Number, Registration, Tax State,
Net Worth, Income Level, Time Horizon
To connect Quik! to dbCAMS+ during the installation
process, Step 2 in the Installation Wizard will ask you to to
choose the type of contact management system you use. Choose dbCAMS+ from the
drop-down menu.

Or, if you have already installed Quik! and want to change your database
connection
, choose the 'Tools' menu and select 'Database Connection...' to bring up the
Database Connection wizard.
Next, click the 'Browse...' button to look for your
dbCAMS+ database file called 'fcl.dbf'. If you installed dbCAMS on
your local hard-drive, then the typical path is C:\dbvdata\fcl.dbf. If you
installed dbCAMS+ on a network server, then navigate to the location where you
installed it and look for the /dbvdata/ folder and the fcl.dbf file. Once you
find the fcl.dbf file, select it and click the 'Open' button.
Once you've selected your database and found the correct
file, click the 'Next' or 'Save' button .
After you finish the setup, you may need to refresh the screen by clicking
the 'Reset' button in the Quik! Forms Library (found next to the
Exit button in the lower right corner).
